About NISP :-

  • The National Innovation and Startup Policy 2019 for students and faculty in HEIs was launched by Hon’ble Minister of Education, Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ on 11th September 2019 at AICTE, New Delhi.
  • Dr. Subhash Technical Campus has joined the campaign on implementing National innovation and start-up policy (NISP) under the aegis of the Ministry of Education Innovation Cell (MIC) and adopted the policy framed by MIC. The policy aims at promoting innovation and start-up culture among the students and faculty of Higher education institutes. A copy of the NISP document is attached below.
  • This policy intends to guide HEIs for promoting students’ driven innovations & start-ups and to engage the students and faculty in innovation and start-up activities in campus. The policy aims at enabling HEIs to build, streamline and strengthen the innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem in campus and will be instrumental in leveraging the potential of student’s creative problem solving and entrepreneurial mind-set, and promoting a strong intra and inter-institutional partnerships with ecosystem enablers and different stakeholders at regional, national and international level. The policy is being implemented by MOE’s Innovation Cell and in coordination AICTE, UGC, State/UT governments and universities. Implementation of policy has been undertaken for quick adoption by HEIs. The present policy is a way forward to the earlier version of AICTE’s Start-up Policy which was launched in the year 2016 to complement the Startup Action Plan under the Startup India and Stand-up India Program launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India.
  • The National Innovation and Startup Policy laid down guiding framework for HEIs and it highlights various important and practical aspects of promoting and supporting innovation, technology commercialization and startups in academic setup.
  • To promote startup culture and to create startup ecosystem at DSTC, the innovative ideas of students and faculties are given a platform to accomplish innovative products and business processes which can fetch to create their own startups.
  • National Innovation and Startup Policy is the initiative from MHRD’s Innovation Cell and AICTE which guides Higher Education Institutes to formulate guidelines to establish an entrepreneurial ecosystem for students and faculties.

 

Vision:-

  • To promote startup culture and to create startup ecosystem at DSTC, the innovative ideas of students and faculties are given a platform to accomplish innovative products and business processes which can fetch to create their own startups.
  • National Innovation and Startup Policy is the initiative from MoE’s Innovation Cell and AICTE which guides Higher Education Institutes to formulate guidelines to establish an entrepreneurial ecosystem for students and faculties.
  • DSTC is having dedicated vertical of supporting Research, Incubation, Innovation, Industry Interaction and entrepreneurship.
  • To promote and participate in innovation and entrepreneurship which will empower every individual within the institution and which in turn will propel our country to emerge as a robust economy.
  • Dr. Subhash Technical Campus is committed to promote innovation, industrial spirit and Entrepreneurship among their students and faculties and external participant by establishing and promoting start-ups and thereby reduce dependency on job market, consequently making us Atmanirbhar. This innovation and start-up will be the kernel for our future education system.

 

Mission:-

  • Identify students in first year with entrepreneurial background and willing to have independent career.
  • Exposing second year onwards all students to industrial visit, exposing them to the culture of industry.
  • Assign start-up-based projects to sophomores.
  • Invite entrepreneurs to educate students on entrepreneurship by conducting classes and lecture and to train student entrepreneurs.
  • Conduct optional course on subject matter.
  • Give adequate flexibility in academic activities for start-up.
  • To encourage students and the faculty to work on new ideas and convert them into successful enterprises by promoting initiatives like Boot up camps, competitions and workshops on capacity building.
