A profound industrialist, philanthropist and a visionary Shri Pethaljibhai Chavda founded Dr. Subhash P. Chavda Ahir Kelvani Mandal in 1976 which initiated a step towards girls’ education and laid the foundation of Dr. Subhash Academy. Today, after 4 decades in service of education and humanity Dr. Subhash Academy, under its flagship runs many institutes in Junagadh region. The doctrine of Dr. Subhash Academy ranges from Primary to Higher Secondary Education, Teachers’ training Colleges, Bachelor and Master courses like Arts, Commerce, Home science, Journalism, B. Sc., B. C. A. “For us Education Is a Tradition”, has been a leading value at Dr. Subhash Academy.
The enlightened trust felt that technical education is the vehicle for empowerment and development; this gave birth to the Dr. Subhash University – an organization that is solely focusing on imparting education and spreading light of knowledge. DSEC started functioning from academic year 2010 – 11 in the lap of nature and mountain Girnar. Today we have technical courses like Degree and Diploma Engineering, Degree Pharmacy and MCA in the campus. DSEC is the only integrated professional educational institute located within Junagadh city's municipal limit. The institute is approved by AICTE and PCI under affiliation to GTU.
